Brand: Outlaw Soaps
About: “Outlaw Soaps is a way to connect yourself with happy memories and inspiring environments. Outlaw Soaps can change the experience of showering into a night on the trail, a roll in the grass, a night out with friends, or a day in the breezes of Joshua Tree.”
It all started when my boyfriend Nick noted that the soap in my shower smells too girly. After that, I was on the hunt for a soap that he and I could both use (and love!). That quest brought me straight to Outlaw Soaps, a unique line of handmade soaps that brings the rustic scent of the outdoors inside. Outlaw Soaps are made through a cold process then cured for a month, yielding a harder and mellower bar. The company, run by husband and wife team Russell and Danielle, is totally quirky and a whole lot of fun.
My Outlaw Soaps package contained a set of bumper stickers and an adorable card. The three full size soap bars arrived in a small burlap sack and an assortment of tester bar soaps in clear baggies was also included. The branding has a warm feel and the handwritten product labels add great character and charm. Let’s check out the different varieties…
Bunkhouse Stampede is a balanced blend of clove, cinnamon, vanilla, and orange that’s sure to awaken your senses. The spicy smooth aroma is a perfect pick-me-up in the morning.
If you can’t survive without your daily cup of joe, then this Coffee Soap is just for you! It has a light sweet black coffee fragrance and, best of all, it’s completely caffeine free.
Southern California is known for its orange orchids and this soap brings those orchids straight to your shower. The combination of orange and ginger delivers a bright fruity scent.
Whether or not you actually live in the wild west, you can still be a cowboy at heart. Blazing Saddles helps you release your inner cowboy with an aroma that smells like leather, sandalwood, gunpowder and sage.
What smells more refreshing than a meadow of freshly cut grass? The Wild Grass fragrance will remind you of being outside at the park on a sunny day. Cleanse, refresh, and repeat.
There’s no better feeling than camping outdoors and being surrounded by nature. Pine Mountain transports you to the woods where soaring trees fill the skyline and trails are ripe for exploration.
Okay, let’s pause for a moment. How freakin’ gorgeous is the color of this soap? Lavender is a classic spa scent that is equal parts relaxing and invigorating. Ahhh!
Hangman’s Soap is brushed to resemble wood and marbled with two tones of brown for a gorgeous finish. The fragrance, however, is anything but dainty with its rustic blend of sandalwood, gunpowder, sage, and dirt.
Can you think of a better duo than sharp whiskey and freshly brewed coffee? That’s exactly what you’ll get with Hair of the Dog. Don’t drink your hangover away – take a cold shower instead.
The delicate copper lines in this earthy green soap are stunning. Sage Copper Canyon is a blend of dusty sage, bright rosemary and sandalwood that will remind you of the desert landscape.
Outlaw Soaps lather easily, release one of a kind fragrances, and provide a feel good clean. However, the real test was with Nick. The verdict? He really enjoyed the different varieties, especially Sage Copper Canyon and Pine Mountain. In fact, he thinks the soaps smell so good that he keeps the Tester Bars displayed in a dish on his bathroom counter. Finally I’ve discovered a line of handmade soap that’s equally loved by my boyfriend and me. Score!
